This is Yippie Yeah in the Lord ...
Or perhaps it’s better to say it’s a mixture of profundity and connection to the heavens.
If you would ask them why they seem so happy and easy, they would surely point upwards and yet not talk about the Hamburg sky which is mostly full of grey clouds, but they would
definitely mean something else. And this “something else“ is probably the special thing about this band which
has existed since 1996: “Jesus is our inspiration, our goal, our path and our love.
He’s the One we always wanna be with“.

Anton & The Watergirls create an unbelievably fresh and innovative kind of glamour-pop-rock-guitar-music and thereby offer an amazing live-show full of unforgetable
earcatchers. They will captivate your heart with their beautiful glittering mermaid-outfits, their lyrics and the fascinating atmosphere.
Put on your diving suit and let them take you along. Two charming frontgirls and handsome guys are ready to take you into their exciting and bubbling waterworld ...

After rocking all over the stage they throw themselves on the ground during the last song. Nobody knows the reason why. It seems to be kind of a ritual which they always do at the end of their concert as a result of exhaustion and fun. The good thing about this is that about 80% of the audience do the same thing and roll all over the ground howling, laughing and singing happily. “They just are enchanting!“, I heard a happily exhausted fan saying after one of their concerts. And you know what? He definitely was right!!!

In 1999, Anton & The Watergirls participated in the largest band competition in Europe (“Emergenza“).
From all over Europe, about 2000 bands participated in this contest. After winning the first levels through rocking some of the most famous clubs in Hamburg (“Große Freiheit“), they qualified for the German final and were under the eight best European bands.
In the following years, Anton & The Watergirls performed in different locations all over Germany.
In July 2003, they finally released their great and long-expected debut album “Hits“, which, trust me, surely gives honour to its name!!!
Party, praise, and yippie yeah!!!!
The band:
André Wedemann: drummer, singer, Anton and the great hero
Kimberley Reschke: guitar and vocals
Melanie Wedemann: base guitar and vocals
